Pros

It works great and safely keeps the pets out of the den. Our dog tends to sneak off to pee once in while. Keeps my 2 y/o niece out of kitchen.

It works so well my 6 year old nephew has a hard time opening it after i showed. Only complaint is that you have to pick which direction it opens (doesn't swing in & out like many others) and it tends to creak.

It is still very sturdy. Unbeatable for the price. You can't knock it down.

Cons

It is not easy to install, not sturdy, and honestly doesn't feel that safe for the baby or the care giver. We have a weird entryway that is 28 inches tall and 40 inches wide. I dont knownwhy this says it fits a 49 doorway when it doesnt.
