Pros & Cons
Pros
The plastic stand is lightweight and easy to (dis-)assemble. The price is very reasonable, compared to the overly marketed and over priced others that are available. I certainly hope that this replacement lasts 40 plus years as did it predecessor.
Although it struggles with thicker dough and i never use it for breads or thicker substances, it’s great for everything i make (95% cookies). This mixer does what it needs to do.
Cons
Weight makes it difficult to hold even the smaller bowl with one hand while scraping batter into a pan (unless, of course, you are a serious weightlifter) it is bigger than the old one - doesn't fit in my cabinet. The top of the unit is weirdly heavy ... Read More

The shafts that used to go all the way through the beaters are no longer there. The driver beater rubber is so high that when using, i could get a rubber spatula under the other beater without interrupting beating.

Disappointed to definition of the speeds are no longer written on the knob as they had been in the past.
The double beaters just cannot be topped for making icings and cakes fluffier than a single beater mixer.
Price
I am absolutely shocked at how much the price has increased!

Competitiveness
We used up a 20 year old sunbeam similar to this one that we paid more for!
