Upon grinding some beans a few weeks later, the grind was far too coarse even on the fine setting.

The unexpected bonus i found when i purchased this machine was the absolutely beautiful smell of fresh ground coffee!
Competitiveness
I use aeropress to make my coffee and this is a great and affordable alternative to a hand mill.
Grind consistency could be improved, and it also take a long time to grind compared to other grinders i have used.
Had paid double this price for a similar grinder 10 years ago and i reckon this is better .

The grind adjustment is made by twisting the entire upper half it moves with ease

However when youre trying to fill the basket you have to hold the top so it doesnt topple over as when over 13 full it gets top heavy you have to be extremely careful otherwise youll adjust the grind when mid grind

As others have said it does spray the grinds out of the nozzle making a huge mess on the bench when you use the group head to grind directly into one of the main reasons i went for this item

However if you grind into the little dish it comes with instead of directly into the basket all the mess is contained and there is no wastage

My only minor complaint about this machine is the coarsest setting is still a bit too fine for french press

The lack of star is because it didnt hold the group head for you its very messy
