It heats quickly on both sides and it has a timer to turn itself off as i choose. Heat comes on very hot but then seems to taper off. No worries about timers with a simple 4 hour auto off setting.

It's fall and there's nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a heated blanket. This is the nicest we've ever had. My feet and my body are warm and cozy.

User manual is to brief, my controller on button has to be pushed twice for the light to come on. Even in the dim mode (after 30 seconds) it is bright enough to be a night light.
