Pros & Cons
Pros
This is exactly the part i needed to fix my suncast hose cart reel that was leaking. The only thing that is different on this replacement part is it has a female connection (threads on the inside) on the side where the adapter hose connects.
Cons
The plastic one is $5. Not happy. Started leaking 2 weeks after put in use.
Highlights
Quality
Great product, works as the old one did when it was new.
Needed to watch video to figure out how to install but the product works well.
You will need some silicone grease for the o-rings.
Shipping
Exactly as described; fast shipping; worked well.
That said, shame on the seller for listing this part for three times what you can get it for from the manufacturer - including shipping!
Competitiveness
Perfect fit for my suncast hose cart reel, install was a breeze!
Easy to install, much less expensive than replacing the entire reel system

I opened it by taking off the bottom strut and taking off one of the wheels remove the hub to pull out the plastic axle and then prying the drum apart using a large 516 blade screw driver to separate the drum the instructions are accurate on this step

The plastic is pretty flexible but you will wonder whether you will break it as you try to pry it

The hardest part is taking apart the reel because you dont want to break it and plastic that has been sitting outside since 2001 tends to be a little brittle
