Pros & Cons
Pros
This compact relay board provides excellent control capacity for the arduino. You supply 5v to it through a separate pin, so you don't have to provide the required current on the input pin. Used with a raspberry pi to control garage doors.
The center pin is the common on the output side. Has indicator lights, which is usually a plus. Set the gpio pin into output mode to ground the pin and trigger the relay.
Quick test out of the box. Using a digital i/o bd.
Cons
This has a major flaw imho that most would find similar. Sending 5v to the relay opens it, otherwise it's closed. There's another 4-channel relay with a red board, similarly priced that advertises the fact that without power the relays are off and sen... Read More
Highlights
Quality
I am very satisfied with this product!
Good value for the price, quality construction, fast delivery, and it works as advertised.
Price
These work great, and the price was good too considering prime got them to me when i needed them.
Shipping
The only issue was shipping - it came in a damaged box with a few pins bent.
Packaging/appearance
It's important to note that the packaging did not include any manual/instructions; however, there are plenty of tutorials online.
Competitiveness
Used with a raspberry pi to create a homekit compatible garage door opener/closer.
Works perfectly to control 2 12vdc pneumatic solenoids from an arduino uno.
The pump only requires 4-12 v and probably a few hundred milliamps.
Worked as well as components priced 10x higher

The onboard leds are a bit counterintuitive in that they light when the relay is not engaged and are off when the relay is engaged

Otherwise fairly simple to use

Remember though that its logic is active low so when power is first applied from the arduino the low state of the pins causes the relay to turn on until the arduino has time to set them to active high thereby turning them off

I solved this problem using a 2n2222 transistor and a 1k ohm resistor between an arduino pin and the 5 volt input to the relay

Now when the arduino powers on there is no power to the relay board until the program tells it to do so
