The header pins that comes with this are really short

Normally when i put a header in something like this the pins stick up a little bit out the top

I had to push the pins down through the plastic holder so they now sit flush with the top of the lcd board

The i2c is converted to an 8bit parallel port on the smaller board which is soldered to the lcd board
