After we discovered the issue, we've found it works perfectly and we're very pleased with it.
A little disappointed with the range (the furthest it picked up the card/key fob was maybe about 2 inches).
Plugged it in the arduino and worked right away, came with the extra rfid cards.

I was able to use it without issue with my arduino uno r2 which wasn’t something i could confirm beforehand by searching the internet

At first i had purchased the blue one however the setup code in the arduino ide does not recognize it

Also this is one of the few readers that are from a somewhat reputable company as many of the other readers i looked at were from obscure chinese companies
