Wow have you a bunch of stuff to learn. If you like a challenge and have patience this is a good kit for you. It's worth every penny and would also make a great gift. Jenny at sun-founder deserves a raise!

I didn't have too much trouble figuring out what pieces i needed next for each step in the process. Just expect to take your time working through it. Comes with detailed instructions on how to get everything working.
This kit is perfect for high-school-age and above budding robot enthusiasts. It is capable of driving over carpet, although higher pile/rougher terrain will certainly require higher speed/torque setting.
Cons
The instruction manual is uneven. The first several pages have good details then subsequent pages are sketchy. The instructions are not clear and the polarity on some of the circuits were not correct when assembled via the booklet.
