Pros & Cons
Pros
This blend of pla is very strong. Prints well at 220, adheres great, and it unspools cleanly. Printed this at 210 nozzle and 65 bed with no issues.
Really love the translucent nature of this filament for printing things like vases and other decorative items. The transparent red color gets a little more matte after printing, but shining a light through gives a cool effect.
No issues with layer adhesion or warping. No stringing or oozing. If you see one small defect near the cat’s feet, that is actually from some under extrusion.
Cons
This is the only filament i've ever had that causes clogging in my nozzle. It's almost like it needs way more cooling than i can give and it slumps. Too weak/brittle for vase mode.
The photos portray it as florescent yellow, but when the filament arrived it is mcdonald's yellow. It's some kind of faded orange looking red that's been in the sun for years.
Don’t buy this * filament. This stuff is junk. For 2d throwaway projects only.
It is much weaker than pla+ and has a choppy finish at best. The second reel is horrible and clogs constantly.
Highlights
Quality
It’s consistent, easy to work with, and delivers solid results on every print.
It works so well, the finished product is smooth and it simply seems like this filament just takes to printing better.
The problem is this roll is so heavy (that's a good thing because it comes with 4+ times the filament as the small printer food rolls).
The filament spins freely on the pvc pipe and no more shifted prints.
Price
**print quality:**the print quality is very impressive for the price point.
This is about a quarter of the cost of toybox's own printer food.
Shipping
(printed at 210-220°c)best yet, amazon keeps almost every color in stock and ready for next day delivery.
Item arrived promptly, well-packaged and as described.
Competitiveness
We have a bambu printer and i like this filament better than the bambu brand that can with the printer.
I often hear rumors that this brand is what bambu labs respools onto their own.
Seems like it holds less moisture over time than other brands, but that could just be me becoming a fanboy of sunlu slower over time.
I had been using anycubic brand filament since purchasing my printer, but after seeing a lot of recommendations for this brand ... Read More
