Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The supco 90293 spdt relay has two pair of controlled contactors. I have my air handler configured to run every now and then via a separate control box.

It works fine, but it is buzzy sometimes. Works great, no noise. Took a little know how, but was a good diy project.

The 1/4 * terminals and six mounting holes make installation easy. Though terminal 4 & 6 are tied together internally.

Three wire, 18-gauge thermostat cable was fished through the wall. By wiring it in with the 24vac transformer in the furnace, my nest now always has power, even when furnace is calling for heat. Worked like a champ for my nest with humidifier setup.

Cons

Inline blower struggles to start. Like other reviews, this unit buzzes loudly when in operation. The relay seems to have loosed up internally.

Quality

Easy to install and fixed the problem with my garage heater

I use this to split a switch on a photo sensor cell motion sensor light under the carport and it works great

I ordered this fan relay to fix an annoying house fan going on and off when the thermostat didn't call for heat.

The only issue i have is that one of the two relays i purchased has failed and doesn't switch reliably.

Price

Of course you cannot return electronics, so good bye money.

The other 2 cost me $300 in service fees to figure out that the new relays were the problem.

Great price and it works as intended.

Plus was cheap and grainger is retarded overpriced

Competitiveness

I bought 3 different brands of fan relays.

I ended up drilling holes by myself, which is not a big deal, but it would be better if i knew upfront.
