Gcn controllers have 30° on each of the four sides. To get an 89er, the analog stick must be rolled up either left or right. This notably opens up multiple offensive and defensive options for both characters.

Cons

Game is unplayable due to scratches and condition of disc. Disc was all scratched up and beyond repair. Gave away around $70 for a really scratched up disc. There's a pretty deep scratch near the center which is what's causing it ultimately.

Total rip-off. Horrible experience. Big waste of my money. Very disappointed. It was horrible.
