The white part that goes under the mattress is not flimsy as other reviews have stated

The pleats press out perfectly and the corners hang actually look like the picture not gapped or gollywock

The only difficulty i had was sliding it under the mattress which is the worst on any bedskirt

You will either need to iron or steam it to make it look presentable like in the picture
