First washing will have a lot of lint but this does not effect the thickness of this towel

It survived first washing intact and produced remarkably little lint for 6 towels dried first time

They were washed in warm water only washed for as little time as necessary to clean never use fabric softener nor dryer sheets

There is a little coloring that is released with washing lots of towel lint in filter after drying and becomes softer after washing and drying
