It makes tightening and trimming the tails off zip ties incredibly easy and efficient.
The cutter is on the ratchet side of the cable tie. Once tight, you squeeze the small handle and that slides the guillotine blade.
The cutter’s blade is easily removable which means it can be sharpened when it eventually gets dull. The cutting blade can be removed for future sharpening/stripping to retain its edge. It trims very close for a neat finish.
Cons
The quality/durability of the storage box is very low. I do not expect the latches to last very long through repetitive uses. The cost for the lack of quality is probably $10 higher than it should be.

I kept squeezing the small handle with the larger ones if i wasn’t looking, ruining the zip tie.
- you need enough loose end to fit through the tool and engage fully with the pawl.
Price
The build, paint, engineering, and all are very nice, the tool is really worth the price.

I’ve cut myself numerous times on cable ties left with sharp protrusions

You can choose your cut off point however to anywhere along the length of the closed tie

I suspect in severe situations this would damage the tie so for those of us that reuse ties that would be something to keep in mind
