The valves you should be able to blow up into are closed, and no amount of pinching will open them.
It would then cause him to want to try to remove himself from the pouch/seat and it almost tipped him forward into the water many times.

I did not want to spend as much as i did on this floaty, but after reading some of the other canopy reviews i figured i’d try this one.
Shipping
After i wrote to them about our bad experience, they sent us two replacements for free, and we were able to get our money refunded.
Packaging/appearance
It does fold up for travelling and we easily packed it in our suitcase.
It folds up nicely to fit back in its package, so it's convenient to haul around.
You do have to deflate it and inflate it every time if you want to pack it away in the carrying case.
Competitiveness
Saw this being used while in mexico and the mom said it was great but to only get the swimways brand.
