Pros & Cons
Pros
The straps are very strong and stitched well. They are also easy to cinch tight or loosen as needed. There is padding on the straps and back. Gives you somewhere easy to stow sunglasses while on the go.
Quality and craftsmanship is second to none. Well made and very pleasing to the eye. Colors are beautiful looking with shiny logo on top front.
It has a super strong fully reinforced handle for carrying or slinging. It even has a strap to put it on a suitcase handle and not fall off! The caveat i have here is that as a petite woman of 5'4 i find it a bit bulky when i'm wearing it.
The padding surrounds the asus rog g17 17 well. It is spacious with a lot of options.
Zippers are well made and appear to be very strong. Thick cloth and sturdy zippers are especially nice. Great zipper quality. Very durable zippers and straps.
Cons
Tried to return to amazon but the 30 days have past sinceit was purchased. Highly disappointed. Returning, very unhappy.

Quality
The sound the zippers make sound like high quality!
It feels incredibly well made and i have no doubt it will last a long time.
5 years i had this bag and never even felt like it was time to get a new one.
Swiss gear backpacks are known for quality and this backpack is no exception.
Price
This is one of the few bags at this price point for which i can give an unqualified, positive recommendation.
At $70, this backpack is not cheap.
At $50 this would totally be a five-star product.
My price range is typically in the $50.

Sure my old bag was large and unruly when packed, but for day to day it had a much slimmer profile.
It is very easy to pack almost everything you might need for a trip in this backpack except for your clothes.
Competitiveness
I guess i just didn't know better, so when i got the swiss gear, it was such an eye-opener.
Like so many companies, swissgear seems to be relying on their brand recognition/reputation to sell a somewhat dated product ra... Read More

There are a lot of brands that make their bags look enough like swiss gear that you could almost mistake it if you’re not looking closely

You could for all of that and a few notebooks and pencils but i would say that this is not meant to be used as a book bag as least not primarily

The emphasis is more on electronics like laptops and tablets plus accessories and the layout of the bag does reflect that
