The fabric feels quality, but definitely not waterproof or even water-resistant, though it makes no claims towards that.

Price
My son has a backpack that sells for half the price of this one that is actually nicer in almost every way.
For the price i am honestly disappointed.
The price does not justify the making.
To me they do seem a little lighter weight than i might have expected at this price.
Packaging/appearance
I am 6'3 and was able to pack 3 whole outfits and my computer and charger with little issue.
Competitiveness
So of course i'm going to compare any swissgear product i get to that one.
In fact, we got rid of his last swiss gear for no other reason than it was so old, it didn't have a compartment for a laptop.
With the same price you can get more and better functional options.
She needed a new backpack for school, so i thought this would be a great choice based on my prior experience with swissgear backpacks.

It has two large pockets the rear one fits my 17 inch laptop nicely but snug so nothing above 17 inch would fit

It also has a smaller pocket below it that could store supplies and then the large middle pocket would fit a lot of books or documents
