Pros & Cons
Pros
The only off-the-shelf d-pad solution for handheld switch play. Works really well, and the dpad is great for those retro games. The reason to buy this is because you need a d-pad for handheld mode.
The * feel responsive and clicky. The minus (-) button is tiny bit shifted. The eject button (that small back button) is more elevated than the original.
Controllers are the best. Looks great on my system when docked. Only downside is it only works handheld, but i play my switch handheld most of the time so it's not a big deal. It uses the switch's battery, thus it drains the switch a tad bit faster.
J'aime mieux cette option que des boutons. Produit de qualité, fonctionne très bien. Achetée pour remplacer, le temps que l'originale soit réparée.
Cons
It's not unusable, but not worth the money i spent. Why branded the product as a genuine nintendo? Does not work as an additional controller when disconnected from the console.

Love it so far, good build quality, light weight.

It has no vibrations, and you have a protector does not work, because it has the l buttons, very out
Price
Was exactly what my sons wanted price was the best we found.
Great price and good quality for the price!
The joycon is good for its price.
Just wish i could get a wireless version would pay 100
Shipping
Luckily amazon reimbursed me for the full amount and i received the controller in a day or two.
Packaging/appearance
I apologize for my previous bad review as my package was stolen by my deliverer and i was left with nothing.
As noted in the description and on the package, this joycon does not work as a standalone controller nor does it have any rumble function.
Looks great on my system when docked.
Competitiveness
Ironically, this altered design, which offers easier access to the release button, is actually superior to the default joy con design, imo.
I expected better from hori, these are clearly inferior to nintendo's controllers
Knowing these controllers are a cheap replacement, i'd happily buy more of hori's controllers over a new $70 joystick or risk b... Read More

I dont understand the point about the dpad being better than the buttons but the dpad itself is pretty good

The l shoulder button was a bit too sharp and the casing seams are a bit sharp as well but if you spend like 20 cents on some sandpaper and 5 minutes rounding the pointy parts it will be a good buy
