Hello this definitely causes warping of any metal
Overheating the pan well of course burn off the coating if your lid is cracked or shattered its probably because you drop it and cause a small crack in it and then overheated it
And after using these pans and pots myself ive come to the conclusion that those who wrote negatives about the coatings coming off or the lids cracking had to be misuse by the cook
