I am very happy with this purchase and hope this fryer lasts for years to come.
The only issues are with the numbers on the temperature gauge.
I purchased the t-fal tr1014 at a steep discount as it was 'like new'.
Price
It was at a good price when i purchased it, and works extremely well!
At that price i have even run the electric part through.
Overall i am happy (and so is the recipient) with this reasonably low cost item.

The basket is strong enough and the lid keeps the splatter to a minimum.

Also there is no tone when the unit hits the temperature there is a light so you have to check periodically
