Pros

For this price point, it's hard to see how anyone could fail to be pleasantly surprised. I was suprised by the number of components inside. This has to be one of the best hi-fi bargains out there.

Rotary controls are notched so easy to use. Streaming from pc tablet or phone music is not laggy and of a very high quality, i love it. Have tried both alexa show 5 as aux input and spotify via iphone bluetooth.

It is a deeper, more engaging sound than listening on the portable bt speaker we were using hitherto. The sound is detailed and clear with a punchy bass and a wide soundstage.

Yes, it gets a bit'shouty' at higher volumes but i generally listen for my own enjoyment and not to fill an auditorium with beatz. Bass and treble controls do as you'd expect. Clear, uncluttered and does not appear to colour the sound.

Cons

This is very cheap rubbish that will disappoint. My experience is too excessively problematic to believe it is a one-off.

Tracks i have heard before but not in the level of detail i was able to hear with the new amplifier.

I also noticed that when my phone was connected to a meater thermometer there was some interference with the signal.

Price

I cannot fault it for its price.

Works well straight out of the box.

Competitiveness

And this is a preferred upgrade from my other system, a logitech z5500, which has a 200w subwoofer.

Sounds great, looks great, works with a pair of 10w speakers and audio-technica ath m50x headphones.

From what i've seen on reviews of other products, this is a not uncommon problem with many budget hi-fi products, not just those from fosi.
