Holds up on my windshield glass pretty well was actually hoping it would go on the dash instead but my dashboard material is not very smooth so i had to put it under the rear view mirror which blocks a minor part of my driving view

Anyway it hold my iphone 6s very well and my wifes 7 plus seems solid in it as well so 4 stars 5 if they had included a plastic adhesive coaster

Its not perfect but im sure based on the design it provided the most suction possible for this application

For those reasons i was hoping to get this holder to work by having it hanging over the dash but i couldnt find a spot the suction cup would fit to stay suctioned down

Several times the holder fell off the door but that was due to heat buildup during the day and it being mounted on a somewhat curved portion of the door
