    This sounds weird but i have kinda always dreaded retractable measuring tape because it always seemed like an accident waiting to happen once you release to pull it all back in

    Updated review that was originally 2 stars as this tape measure did not retract after i extended it out to about 6 feet the lock button was not the least bit down

    Pulling the tape out farther just resulted in it being stuck out farther

    I took out the screws and pulled it apart to see that the tape wound was not tight and therefor this bubble was causing a jam

    I probably could have just pulled the tape all the way out to then let it tightly wind back up without having to take it apart but i was afraid id end up with 25 feet of tape hanging out while trying to return the item
