Highlights
Quality
The tape is also just as accurate with the tab pressed against a wall.
Hook finally failed and it was probably my fault for yanking it and jerking it, but i am still satisfied.
In closing i think i'm gonna stock up on a few of these bc if these tapes are like most things good the company will go and low... Read More
The white background sets this tape apart for ease of reading and the overall build quality is top notch.
Price
This tape measure is very good and the price is great!
I knew i was gonna be rough on this tape but i figured i'd give it a shot due to the price.
The cost doesn't really matter as these will last for as long as you take decent care of them.
Packaging/appearance
I spent about 10 minutes with a damp sponge and lenox gold utility knife (great knife) and i got all the thinset off the blade of the tape.
Both models are white with black lines (except the 1/16 marks on the fastcap are red.
Competitiveness
Cheaper than the fatmax and for me it lasts 6-8 months longer.
I typically used stanley fatmax 25' and 16' tapes prior to this purchase.
If they did, i would easily give it a 5-star review.
The fastcap lefty righty and tajima 16ft models.

The tape tears maybe 20 of the time for me except on fatmax which seem to get caught in stacks of lumber like theyre magnetized or something so it doesnt kill me to not have a replacement option unless im unfortunate enough to get it stuck right after replacing it

One thing about this tajima thats a bit of a mixed blessing they have protected the tip of the blade by building up the case along side of it but this makes it impossible to hook the tape and extend it with one hand

While i like the fastcap markings the accuracy of the tajima as checked on a starrett 36” steel rule is spot on even to the 132” marks unlike the fastcap that drifted nearly 116” by the 24” mark it did however begin to correct the further out i went but never got “back on the mark”

One negative i noticed is that the measurement is off very slightly perhaps 132 inch off in about 6 inches
