Its very tough and i havent broken a single blade yet despite cutting everything from carpeting to baseboard trim to rubber tires to wall board

I had dewalt knives for years and the plastic buttons kept falling off so i couldnt lock the blades and would have to buy a whole new knife

Even when it did lock there were times the blade would slip in or out during spirited use
