Pros & Cons
Pros
The takeya comes with a soft rubber cover on the bottom. If you drop it, it also makes much less noise and protects it from denting. The removable silicon sleeve makes it very quiet when you set it down.
When it's full it can be a bit tricky to clean. It has a pull out handle to hold for better grip. The one handed operation is very convenient. I have a flask and a carrier with a long strap and a handle.
This is my first drinking straw cover and it is the cat's meow. The lid is also superior to hydroflask- both the spout and the straw lid.
I have a cup-holder extension to fit 32oz bottles in my car. It makes it too grippy to remove, but that's a bit of a niche issue. Only issue is the diameter, with or without the rubber bumper.
Cons
The straw is also small and flimsy. If the spout is closed, even if there's 1/2 inch of water in the bottle it will leak everywhere. The only way i can use it is if i leave the spout open at all times, which of course negates the ability to keep thing... Read More
The company ordered the wrong sized straws. The hole at the top of the lid clearly isn't large enough to allow adequate suction.
Highlights

The materials don't feel as high quality as what yeti uses (mainly the lid), but thats a sacrifice i'm willing to make given th... Read More
Competitiveness
Cons:price is higher than competitors, but is worth it.
I would say this is essentially the same quality compared to the hydroflask but with slightly weaker durability.
Overall, i see no real reason to pay more for a hydroflask unless you want to flex brand name or have the money to blow.
The picture shows 22oz, but when ordering it states 24oz.
