It's my second tascam portable recorder. Usb bus power capabaility is a step up from what i am use to. Comes with 3 aa batteries but i ordered the specified power adapter for full satisfaction.
Cons

Negative - flimsy, battery lid falls out right out of the box, either use sticky tape to hold it or throw the lid away. Has been powering down and then not starting up again since month one of ownership. No phantom power no xlr access.
Even a normal room with an led bulb in the ceiling is enough to make it flip out. Its fussy about sd cards. Which are very small now. And its not intuitive.

I've only tested it out with a couple of recordings, but the sound quality is phenomenally clear.
I receive this only a few days after ordering especially during this pandemic and very happy with the fast delivery.
Using the external speakers the sound quality is very thin.
Recording quality is good when you play through earphones but the built in speaker is of poor quality.

To practice voice is a good choice and good price

Definitely overkill for the average youtuber or dictation user but for the price why not have the added value of not needing to purchase another product if you find you want to step up your sound game too
