It's a matte/open-pore finish which looks great on this guitar. Very loud guitar, bright sound but produces a solid bass. What a beautiful sounding guitar.

What you get is the latest version of the 114ce.

Competitiveness

Researching many different brands not wanting to spend more than $1000 i settled on this one.

Makes a novice player sound like a pro.

I'll just have a luthier install and do a set up in one process, that will also fix the higher action at the higher frets.

I cannot imagine a better guitar for the price.
