Pros

The glaze is flawless and of perfect thickness. Since it's high-fire ceramic, it tolerates boiling or near boiling water. The lid is stainless steel on top but a silicone rubber insert.

As a long-time tea drinker, my morning cuppa is critical to me. The tea strainer is perfect. Pours easily and cleanly.

The teapot holds enough water for 3-4 days worth of one full glass of tea. Perfect size for two to four cups depending on your mug size. They now have a 47 oz. Perfect size for 1-2 people. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

The tea canister makes it very easy to place the loose leaf tea. I only wish the cover was removable.

Cons

Even when used properly, it is defective and dangerous. The stainless lid is thin and flimsy. This is a huge safety hazard and could result in *serious* burns.

The so-called “dripless” spout drips and leaks with every pour. The handle is a little small so it’s uncomfortable to pour. This teapot just lacks the fine details to make a fine tea pouring experience.

I can heat the entire teapot of water in the microwave, pop the top back on with the insert full of tea.

It came right away and they gave me about a month to return the first one (free shipping).

Packaging/appearance

It arrived safely in the special packaging.

The only reason i did not give it 5 stars is that the design is a bit bad, when i fill it up to the brim tea spills out from the spout.

The two problems i find:1) the lid is somewhat tight and difficult to place on and remove from the pot.

It's a little hard to get the wet tea out of the infuser if you use too much loose tea.

This is the second tealyra teapot i purchase.

At first, i received a teapot with a defective lid, and tealyra mailed me a new one as soon as i asked for a replacement.
