Pros
Discovering the iron came as answer to prayers about cloth getting burnt.
Nice but very pricey in my opinion. Price is slightly higher than the philips irons which have comparable features. Well worth the money considering the effortlessness of it all.
Smart' technology means the iron remains at an optimum temperature whether you're ironing denim, nylon or most other fabrics. It heats up to the right temperature depending on the fabric without you having to adjust a heating dial.
Fv4980 turns off when not used, saving electricity and making it safe, awakening if you move it again. I was also intrigued by the lack of temperature knob. It s(t)eems to work as described though i haven't tested it on anything expensive.
Tefal fv4980 smart protect steam iron is an iron i would happily recommend. This is the perfect iron as it requires no tricky settings.
Cons
Room now resembles a swedish sauna. Leaking horrible and third thing - i need to refill tank in the iron all the time - this is very not good when you have a lot of ironing to do.

A bit sceptical at first that it could do all fabrics without fiddling with temperature but very pleasantly surprised.
Competitiveness
Never tried a tefal iron before but i’d definitely have another.
The water does go down relatively quickly but not such a big deal tbh.
