Consseventy inches of lead might sound ok but honestly unless your ironing board is stood bang up against a power outlet it isnt enough

So much hissing spitting and fizzing goes on you will need to hang your clothes over a drying rack afterwards not straight into the drawers or wardrobe

The steam holes can get jammed up and eventually the iron can cause which shirts to end up well ironed but dirty with scale stains

The plate is quite resistant to getting things burnt onto it oops i touched plastic beads without paper inbetween and although the beads melted they didnt stick to the soleplate phew
