The tefal gv7620 is a nofrills nofuss steam generator iron which pretty much delivers everything youd want for average family usage

It seems to take another minute or so for the steam generation to reach full strength but its not far behind and doesnt hold you back

Its also too easy to accidentally tap this button if you set the iron down upright on the ironing board resulting in a cloud of steam you didnt really want so its much better to get into the habit of replacing the iron onto the base between uses placing it down at an angle means your finger doesnt tap the button by mistake

Although tefal refer to this model as compact it doesnt seem that much smaller than the average to me and thankfully most of the size reduction seems to come from removing the internal cable storage from the iron not reducing useful things like the water tank storage

I was a bit concerned by the fixedheat feature but in practice its been fine for everyday items if youre regularly ironing heavier or more varied items maybe it would be worth the extra spend to get a variable heat model

Omg this reduced the weekly ironing time in half no effort required and even the hardest items are a breeze

I hate ironing but this iron is amazing l actually look forward to it now
