This metal one should last forever, plus it is larger and has a timer.
I have thrown steamers out in the past when the plastic baskets you put the food into get cracked and scruffy.
Price
I am a member there and had i known i could have bought it at their wholesale price instead of what i paid.
00 which i had to recently return.
Only time will tell but i expect great things for the price.
And, at the bowls are round, i was able to find (very reasonably priced, a 3 section saucepan divider.

I was surprised that although i bought it from amazon, when it came it had come from costco!
It was delivered directly from another company but no mention of costco on amazon page
Packaging/appearance
Also looks better than the plastic ones.

This one wont discinteregrate like my last one did

The principal of use is the same but i like the timer which goes off when cooking is completed and the little water drawer which can be used to to top up the water in the base during cooking if it is getting low this is where your steam comes fromi havnt used therice bowl yet so can’t comment on that but the steamer is easy to wash and keep clean and easy to use

Unfortunately this steamer has only two bowls
