Pros
Charging base is easy to use with a small size footprint. The mug itself is fantastic, both on and off the charger. Elegant design and comfortable grip add a touch of sophistication.
One push gives you warm, two pushes gives you hot and a 3rd push give you piping. To avoid scratching, use a small silicone spoon with the mug. See image, cup with hot chocolate on high temp settings.
Nice modern, non bulky look and feel. The green colour is very beautiful. I like that it is ceramic.
Build quality is great. If they modify the handle design, it's definitely worth 5 stars! My only other complaint is the price point. The price might seem steep but honestly it's worth it.
Nextmug is barrel-shaped. Unlike the ember which automatically senses the hot contents and activates the heating element within.

Wanted to try this as a replacement for my now-defunct ember mug whose internal battery, after a few years, stopped charging.
Price
The nextmug is almost $50 cheaper and works just as well.
Save your money for the ember this is better
The base is another $50 though, but it is totally worth it.
The price might seem steep but honestly, it's worth it.

Have only used it a few times as it just arrived the other day.
Competitiveness
Good value - feels solidly built and the name is not as absurd as some of the competitors lol.
I've tried a couple other warming mugs in the past but so far nothing compares to the quality of the nextmug!
The price is reasonable compared to other brands for similar features.
Moreover, the interior of the ember is deeper than the nextmug, by a little more than a quarter-inch.
