It comes with a relatively dense 20 page instruction book. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you start playing it's pretty easy to understand. It takes a while to learn, but the strategy is deep.

This game is not for the faint of heart. This is a hefty game for people who don't mind being in it for the long haul! It is a lot of fun, a great challenge, and immensely satisfying when you win!

This combines concepts from twilight imperium with charterstone (plus a few others) it's like a more complicated version of settler's of catan.

Cons

The game is also very bland to look at. It appears i can't get an english instruction manual without returning the whole item, which is more hassle than its worth imo. Definitely serious gamers only.

The quality is amazing and the game play is even better.

Components/game boardnot much to complain about with component quality here although i think i do prefer gaia project in this area.

Before this i was missing all the pieces located in the picture with the clear bag.

Negative final thoughtsbut i wish they did more with the fantasy theme like had structures that looked fantasy based.

Shipping

Arrived in great condition which is important yet difficult for a heavy board game shipping through the mail.

Came slightly damaged with shipping pretty bummed about that but oh well not the products fault.

Packaging/appearance

Gaia project overwhelmed me right out of the box.

Competitiveness

The competition for land can heat up as well since both players will be trying to transform certain sections to block off the other.

My wife and i enjoy playing a two rounds of 2-player, where we switch races for the second round.

I think it would work better if the board size were limited by the number of players in the game, to force a little more competition.
