Pros
The enclosure runs quietly and cool, with its 2 fans. The drives wake and sleep individually, as needed. It's quite noisy but we can live with that. Terramaster says the fans change depending on the temperature of the disks.
Cons
Server software is reporting excessively hot disks in all 4 bays of this unit. Ir temp sensor confirms this. Internal fans do not seem to be speeding up to reduce the case temp.

However i have had 4 45 degree disks running operations in this enclosure and the fans have very little impact on cooling

Fans are barely audible above other equipent noise and keep the hdds cool enough to operate without problem 40°c

I dare not try the hot swapping whilst other drives active given theres no per drive power button

Initially nothing would mount and whilst the drives picked up power and were recognised my computer was slow and reluctant to mount the drives

I mistakenly thought the unit would ship with usb3ctype to usb3ctype lead it doesnt the lead supplied was usb3a to usb3c so not exactly what i had hoped
