I used shucked 12tb drives purchased from ebay and they recognize with no issue.
4gb ram and intel cpu-excellent and inexpensive nas, returned synology 220+ even it is a good one too.
After looking at other solutions, like qnap, asustor, synology etc.

You need a router that give dhcp address to this device too as it don’t have a build in ip address that can hook up directly for configuration

They each had little nuances that made me not want to get them for instance dual core processors vs the terras quad or the fact that they dont or cant do video encoding or bottlenecks in transfers
