I know they are a little more expansive than some other brands but you certainly get what you pay for .
I would buy two instantly if the prise is lower, but it is still cheaper than anything offered by competition.
1 1st gen unit but i particularly wanted the thunderbolt connection.

I cannot comment on the longevity of the system of course as it has only been running for a few weeks but i suspect it would be the disks themselves bought separately that are the possible failure points

If youre using a main power button like from an input conditioner youll have to switch this machine on every time you power up your system which if youve placed it further away or in a cabinet is a real nuisance

Recently i had purchased a different brand storage device but within the 24 hours it failed and if i hadnt backed my filesup i would have lost all my data i i never had any problems with any of my terramaster products

The most important thing i expect from a storage device is i am a full time photographer and i have a very high turnover of files so the device needs to keep up with my demands

It was simple to set up and requires no software as it is a hardware raid with integrated raid switch on the back

One small step glitch when drives were not recognised on first setup which was solved by holding the reset button for 10 secs as advised in on line manual
