Pros & Cons
Pros
They are super comfortable and seem well made with good stitching. The only downside for us is they are not like the self-inflating camping mats you find.
This camp pad on the outfitter xxl cot is more comfortable than my kids twin beds. I think this item is overpriced but it fits the cot and insulates, so it works.
Material is waterproof and after 3 uses i have found it comfortable to sleep on. I am 6ft 220lbs and this was roomy! I'm overweight and my hips didn't hurt once. I just wish it was a 4 inch think pad, but that's also me wanting extreme comfort while s... Read More
Cons
The xxl teton camp pad was supposed to be 2. In fact, the measurement is only an inch and a half thick. The foam compresses to nearly nothing and yields to the least amount of pressure. It is very hard and not comfortable at all.
This pad is suitable for picnics, but not actual sleep in a campground. It barely masks that you are sleeping on the ground. When you lie down on the pad, whatever part of your body sinks into most mattresses, simply ends up on the plywood. To be fair... Read More
Half the time when i roll it back up the velcro comes undone. It came rolled up in the box. Left unrolled and measured it after another day.
Highlights
Quality
I highly recommend this product for its durability quality from the makers at teton
I have it for 4 years now, very durable and comfortable, and i'm happy every time i use it while camping.
The storage straps are sewn on and it doesn't include a storage bag.
Its has not shown any use after a year.
Price
I bought it for $120 which i think is a little exoensive for what it is.
I feel for the pricez just go buy some cheap mattress topper and get a sheet for it or make your own.
Shipping
I request all deliveries from amazon delivered to the back door.
We got these for a 7 day trip and used with the xxl cots.
Competitiveness
I wish the price were better, but i tried a cheaper version and it didn't come close.
