Quality
So far i am very happy with the purchase and would recommend them.
I live in the pacific northwest and i hike and swim with the same pair of tevas every spring and summer.
I don't think that they are of the same high quality as 30 years ago, but these seem to be pretty good.
Competitiveness
I have been buying tevas for 30+ years.
Hopefully these will last more than one season, which is about all i have been getting from my tevas for the past 5 years or so.
My last pair of tevas lasted 9 years.
I had a very old pair of teva's that finally wore out.
