It is a change of setting, pace, and even scope.
The story felt rushed and poorly developed at times.
This one - the book is simply falling apart - starting with hunks of pages in the middle.
Shipping
It delivered on that front and was a nice break from the intensity of era 1.
Competitiveness
In some ways i actually like these better than the first three and i'm really looking forward to the next three.
Wayne brings more humor than i've seen in many other books and the dynamic between marasi, wayne and wax is exceptional.
Might be even better than the original mistborn books.
Maybe compared with other brandon sanderson’s books this is even a 3.
