Pros & Cons
Pros
He does the voices so well that it’s like listening to a favorite movie you are riveted to. This book really ramps up the conflict and now i am going and purchasing the lost metal to continue. He's beyond brilliant in his creation of worlds and charac... Read More
The bands of mourning is the sixth mistborn novel within brandon sanderson’s cosmere. Waxillium “wax” ladrian, wayne, and marasi travel to the south of the elendel basin to save a kendra. And this leads them to search out the bands of mourning, rumore... Read More
Yum i and the nightmare painter. Love the book and love the entire mistborn series (the original trilogy + wax & wayne). First time that the wax and wayne series really begin to catch up to the power levels we got on the original trilogy.
Brandon sanderson is a unique author who manages to create a coherent story with interesting characters and a good bit of humor along the way. Sanderson again excels at world building and adding new layers to characters you think you know. Any book wr... Read More
Cons
Just purchased this kindle version very excited to read the latest sanderson book only to find there are pages missing. The western bit meets the industrial revolution, was looking forward to finding out who was reviving hemalurgy. Wax is sullen and u... Read More
Ranette is now revealed to the audience to be homosexual, but this was apparently known to the characters already. And why is wayne constantly making * references? Wayne is still somewhat delightful, but he kind of felt a prop for the other characters... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Excellent writing and excellent character development as always.
With all the characters well developed, everybody just did their own thing and got the job done (clap clap - bow to the audience).
It has guns but they don't 'ruin' the story!
Best of wax and wayne but story building got thick in a few places.
Shipping
The book came on time and it was in good condition.
Packaging/appearance
I received it with a very good condition
Competitiveness
Wax and wayne have won me over as a bonafide crime-fighting duo and i am curious as to their place in the grand scheme of the cosmere.
Banda of mourning was better than the previous two books in this series, and i mean that in a good way.
In this one, wax, wayne, steris, mericee, and melan are all looking for a spike stolen from one of the kandra by suit’s people.
Different than other cosmere books, but honestly, it's nice to read these in between stormlight books for some lightharted fun.
