Pros & Cons

Pros

In terms of cost and convenience that makes this an attractive work. Tough to slog through, at times- but give it patience and time. For the reader looking for a one-volume version of aristotle's works, this is the version for you.

Contains the whole of arguably the most essential aristotelian writings while continuing ample selections of his lesser known works. Enough to give the curious reader a taste of their subjects. Some of the works in basic works are abridged.

The book is pretty thick, but by no mean unwieldy. All the necessary prerequisites were applied in creating this wonderful book. It is exactly as pictured.

One section is enough to think for a little bit. On interpretation3. On the soul5. On dreams7. On the interpretation of dreams8. Hopefully at least some.

Cons

Shoddy workmanship then with no quality control. Spine of book was broke. Did not come in cardboard cover.

Highlights

Quality

The quality price ratio far surmounts that of any other volume.

Its quality does justice to its contents.

For me, i also missed the lack of introductory material or other commentary on the works, which are quite difficult for the general reader.

Also some of the works in basic works are abridged.

Shipping

The book was big and heavy, and i figured the little bit of damage was due to its bulk and getting kicked around in the shipping process.

Competitiveness

Furthermore, it is a high-quality binding, and even comes in a protecting box.

Aristotle's works are a classic and those of us in this modern world would do well to learn from history.

The book could have been wrapped a little tighter

The text is a little stilted in places deriving as it does from the 1940s and even before that from an edition of aristotles works produced by the berlin academy in the 19th century

No it doesnt have the great introductions you will get in the individual copies of the texts it has very simple nice outlines of each section at the beginning of each book though
