Its not hard to see that these stories are a bit different

Seuss books consist of fullpage drawings with a few words per page but the stories in this book are dominated by words and the drawings are fewer and smaller

This is most likely because its how they originally appeared – the magazine wanted mostly words and not as many drawings so thats how he wrote and drew them
