This book holds the record for the longest time taken to actually read it. Easy to read, but more importantly. Buy it.
Bessel van der kolk's book is a trove of helpfulness. Dr van der kolk is quite open about mistakes that were made in the past. This book is more than a book about trauma and its aftermath, it is a book that delivers a message of empathy.

A box knife was used to open the box and tore into the back cover and some of the last few pages. This book is extremely limiting and dangerously dated.

Overall i found the research compelling but also noticed there seems to be a glaring hole in the research related to the trauma victims who lived through the wars that affected the soldiers the research concentrated on so much
