Maybe not as good as some of the later discworld novels but even pratchett at his worst is still far better than most

Like a caterpillar the luggage travels of its own accord using its many busy feet and that’s not even the most puzzling thing about it

Memory says that dad who worked in a library brought this light fantastic home together so i didnt quite read this on publication but pretty close certainly before equal rites was published

Whilst this is the very first discworld book i wouldnt call it the first discworld novel
