It’s such a heavy paperback that i won’t be surprised if some of the pages separate with heavy use over time; however, i note that the book lies flat even on the early pages, and i suspect that’s what the bookbinders were going for: a cookbook that would lie flat on our counter without having to put the customary can of tomatoes on one page to hold it down, so i’m very happy with the binding.  Read Less
