Pros
Cool angle on the whole 'zombie' genre. One of a few these days that actively engage their readers.
The defectors is a decent story that starts a bit slow, but develops pretty well. Characters are likable and plot moves well. You begin to invest in each person, aside from the narrator.
The story revolves around our heroine, haven, as she tries to find and free her friend greyson. Grayson was shipped into prison and haven was set on finding him and setting him free. Our heroine becomes a defector to join forces and find her friend.
Haven meets people who were rebels against the government, some undocumented, some have defected and removed their chips. Her description of people who neither embrace the rebels nor the government/pmc seems dead-on. Guns are deadly tools, without los... Read More

The heroine of this novel is haven, apparently. Author has no real world grounding or experience in two elements of a good story.

I loved all 3 books, but i always start with the first in case the first book sucks.
I'm not a particular fan of zombie storylines and glad she didn't go with the walking dead.
