This is the first book in a series and as such is a book that sets the stage and hints at much more to come
The detached writing style veers into clinical at times to the point of including coroners reports and police briefs

This is a wellwritten and edited novel it’s so easy to be cheesy with this genre niche but the author avoids this in part by dipping into apocryphal literature of the catholic church
